According to “Annals of the Swedes on the Delaware, From their First Settlement in 1636, To the Present Time,” by The Rev. Jehu Curtis Clay, D. D., the following marker appeared in what was formerly the center aisle of the graveyard in 1834. This marker appears to be missing today.
In memory of Elizabeth Vanderspiegel, widow of William Vanderspiegel, late of the City of Philadel- phia, Merchant; daughter of the late Andrew and Mag- dalen Robeson, and granddaughter of the late Rev. Andrew Rudman, died 23 February 1774, aged 52 years.
